Food Security
Food Insecurity is the state of being without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food. ‘Anxiety over food access’ is considered marginal food insecurity while outright ‘hunger’ and ‘not eating for an entire day due to lack of resources for food’ is a more extreme manifestation.
Cal Maritime cadets mirror national trends among college students and some are going hungry because they cannot afford food. We believe that no Keelhauler should ever be food insecure. If you are experiencing hunger because you don't have enough money for food, help is easily accesible.
