Instructional Student Assistants
Instructional Student Assistants (ISA) that are hired by campus departments or hiring units to perform a variety of academic-related duties. ISA in this classification perform teaching, grading or tutoring duties for the majority of work hours in a given appointment in a given academic department or equivalent administrative unit over the course of an academic term. Learning Aligned Employment Program (LAEP)
LAEP is a state-funded grant program that provides employment for eligible students to help with the cost of education while gaining education-aligned, career-related employment.

***IMPORTANT UPDATE: The recently passed 2024-25 budget for the State of California (https://ebudget.ca.gov) includes the cancelation of the Learning-Aligned Employment Program (LAEP) effective at the end of the 2023-24 academic year.
